Home Euthanasia Services For a Peaceful Farewell
Firstly, let me tell you how sorry I am that you’re here and have to make this decision. Saying goodbye to a beloved dog or cat is one of the most heartbreaking moments we have to face. This is because the bonds we have with our furry friends are so strong that the idea of losing them can be too much to bear.
However, when they become older, or when illnesses or injuries take their toll, you can see their quality of life start to decline. Once this happens, offering them a peaceful way to say goodbye is the greatest act of love you can give them.
This is where home euthanasia services like ours at The Loving Vet can come in. We’re a mobile pet euthanasia service based in Newton-le-Willows covering the North West and surrounding areas such as Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Leeds. We offer a warm alternative to the cold setting of a clinic.
Understanding Home Euthanasia
Offering the most empathy for pets and their families is at the core of my services, as I fully understand how vital comfort is at a vulnerable time like this. So, by choosing my service, I can put your dog to sleep at home or provide at-home cat euthanasia so they can spend their final moments in a familiar, peaceful setting with loved ones surrounding them. They also won’t have the stress of travelling or being in a place which is distressing to them.
The Procedure of My Service Which Offers You a Gentle Goodbye
As a qualified veterinary surgeon (listed in the RCVS register as Benite Oddy), I have the utmost care and respect for your pet’s comfort at the forefront of my mind during the procedure. I will begin by dispensing a sedative to your pet to make sure they’re relaxed and feeling no pain. This ensures there’s a peaceful transition before the final euthanasia solution is gently provided. As I am taking these steps, I will provide support and reassurance to everyone present to make sure that the serene passing of your pet is dignified.
Why Familiar Surroundings Are Vital
The importance of this can’t be overstated, as pets are very sensitive to their environment. So, making sure their final moments take place in the comfort of their home, where they feel safe and happy, gives them a real sense of security. It also makes it possible for all of the family and loved ones to be on hand to provide comfort and get the same in return. This shared experience can offer a very real form of comfort and closure to everyone present.
Providing The Right Support For Every Owner
My service goes beyond just taking physical care of your pet. I recognise the deep emotional impact that this scenario has on people, and in turn, I will offer care that is right for each and every household, who all have their own personal grief. I can offer guidance on coping mechanisms, ways you can memorialise your pet, and anything else to make the process easier.
A Tribute That Lasts
Opting for my at-home pet euthanasia service also gives you the chance to create a touching tribute to your little loved one. Often, families like to hold a small ceremony that reflects on their pet’s life and the memories they shared with them. This can be a way to console your feelings for them and celebrate the joy they brought to your life.

Helping You To Make An Informed Decision
Deciding that the time is right to say goodbye to your loved one is a very personal choice that needs some careful thought. To assist with this, we’re here to provide you with information and answer any questions via messaging prior to my visit. I believe in always communicating with clients thoroughly and being transparent so their worries and anxiety are eased through this difficult time. This helps you to make the choices that are best for you.
A Compassionate Choice
When you choose to say goodbye to your beloved at home you’re making an empathetic decision to say goodbye to your loved one in a way which puts their comfort first. It gives you the chance to part with them in a loving place surrounded by the people who care the most for them and gives them and you the most dignified farewell.
By going down this path at the end of the final chapter of their life, you can grant them a gentle passage. One where they can not feel any fear or pain and can part ways with you while being surrounded by the people they cherish the most. It’s a profound gift of peace that reflects the depth of your bond and the unwavering love you’ve shared.

Nearly 2 months down the line and I am only just ready to leave this review after the most heartbreaking period of time. I would recommend The Loving Vet to anyone without any doubt. The care and compassion shown by both Bee and Jordan was unbelievable. Thank you to Jordan for answering any of our questions at any time of the day making such an awful time as easy as possible. You are fantastic! Thank you to Bee for looking after our adored Suzy. After nearly 17 years of our lives spent with her, you made the most dreadful day as bearable as possible. The way you cared for Suzy and didnt rush any part with us was so very kind. The amount of trust we had in you both - We will always be very grateful. Another thank you to Tony for bringing Suzy home safely to us after only a couple of days.Posted on Google Emma Roberts28 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot recommend Bee highly enough. We had planned to say goodbye to our beautiful Golden Retriever, Nessie, on the Monday, but after a traumatic accident at home we had to bring everything forward unexpectedly. From the moment Bee arrived, she brought a sense of calm into what had been the worst day of our lives. She never rushed us and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye properly. We were able to brush Nessie, spoil her with her favourite treats, take photographs, make paw prints and simply be together as a family. Bee treated Nessie with such kindness, dignity and respect throughout. She also showed incredible compassion towards our children, allowing them the time and space they needed to say goodbye to a dog they had grown up with. Although losing Nessie has left us heartbroken, I will always be grateful that her final moments were spent peacefully at home, surrounded by the people who loved her most. That is a gift Bee gave us, and one we will never forget. Thank you for helping us give our girl the peaceful goodbye she deserved.Posted on Google Michelle Pope28 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Having made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our lovely Riley after his illness took a turn for the worst, Bee was incredible. She’s a wonderfully kind and compassionate person who allowed our boy to pass with such grace and dignity in the comfort of his garden, on a beautiful day and surrounded by those who loved him. I could not recommend Bee and Jordan enough, they were both caring, professional and communicated the whole process in a delicate, clear and empathetic manner. During such a hard time I could not have asked for anything more. Exactly what I needed as it was one of the worsts days of my life, but made far easier by Bee, and my boy Leyla having a peaceful end, at home. Attaching a few photos of my boy who I miss so much and because I want to honour his memory. I’d highly recommend this service-much better than going to a vets. Bee took her time and listened to my stories and allowed me time to cry.Posted on Google Nic Lea27 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We made the heartbreaking decision to end our little boy’s suffering when his IVDD fight became too much for him, and I cannot thank Bee & Jordan enough for the way everything was handled. The compassion we received on our most difficult day was unmatched, and we can take comfort in knowing our boy’s final moments were dignified and full of love. Bee took the time to explain every step of the process to us and ensured Kevin’s comfort was the top priority. The attention to detail was so unexpected, but such a heartwarming touch—he was tucked up in a basket surrounded by candles and flowers, which was a lovely way to honour him on his final journey. We received his digital paw print that same evening, along with a lovely message from Jordan. Thank you both so much. We are still trying to navigate this difficult time, but I find peace in knowing he was given the most gentle passing.Load more
