Home Euthanasia Services For a Peaceful Farewell
Firstly, let me tell you how sorry I am that you’re here and have to make this decision. Saying goodbye to a beloved dog or cat is one of the most heartbreaking moments we have to face. This is because the bonds we have with our furry friends are so strong that the idea of losing them can be too much to bear.
However, when they become older, or when illnesses or injuries take their toll, you can see their quality of life start to decline. Once this happens, offering them a peaceful way to say goodbye is the greatest act of love you can give them.
This is where home euthanasia services like ours at The Loving Vet can come in. We’re a mobile pet euthanasia service based in Newton-le-Willows covering the North West and surrounding areas such as Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Leeds. We offer a warm alternative to the cold setting of a clinic.
Understanding Home Euthanasia
Offering the most empathy for pets and their families is at the core of my services, as I fully understand how vital comfort is at a vulnerable time like this. So, by choosing my service, I can put your dog to sleep at home or provide at-home cat euthanasia so they can spend their final moments in a familiar, peaceful setting with loved ones surrounding them. They also won’t have the stress of travelling or being in a place which is distressing to them.
The Procedure of My Service Which Offers You a Gentle Goodbye
As a qualified veterinary surgeon (listed in the RCVS register as Benite Oddy), I have the utmost care and respect for your pet’s comfort at the forefront of my mind during the procedure. I will begin by dispensing a sedative to your pet to make sure they’re relaxed and feeling no pain. This ensures there’s a peaceful transition before the final euthanasia solution is gently provided. As I am taking these steps, I will provide support and reassurance to everyone present to make sure that the serene passing of your pet is dignified.
Why Familiar Surroundings Are Vital
The importance of this can’t be overstated, as pets are very sensitive to their environment. So, making sure their final moments take place in the comfort of their home, where they feel safe and happy, gives them a real sense of security. It also makes it possible for all of the family and loved ones to be on hand to provide comfort and get the same in return. This shared experience can offer a very real form of comfort and closure to everyone present.
Providing The Right Support For Every Owner
My service goes beyond just taking physical care of your pet. I recognise the deep emotional impact that this scenario has on people, and in turn, I will offer care that is right for each and every household, who all have their own personal grief. I can offer guidance on coping mechanisms, ways you can memorialise your pet, and anything else to make the process easier.
A Tribute That Lasts
Opting for my at-home pet euthanasia service also gives you the chance to create a touching tribute to your little loved one. Often, families like to hold a small ceremony that reflects on their pet’s life and the memories they shared with them. This can be a way to console your feelings for them and celebrate the joy they brought to your life.

Helping You To Make An Informed Decision
Deciding that the time is right to say goodbye to your loved one is a very personal choice that needs some careful thought. To assist with this, we’re here to provide you with information and answer any questions via messaging prior to my visit. I believe in always communicating with clients thoroughly and being transparent so their worries and anxiety are eased through this difficult time. This helps you to make the choices that are best for you.
A Compassionate Choice
When you choose to say goodbye to your beloved at home you’re making an empathetic decision to say goodbye to your loved one in a way which puts their comfort first. It gives you the chance to part with them in a loving place surrounded by the people who care the most for them and gives them and you the most dignified farewell.
By going down this path at the end of the final chapter of their life, you can grant them a gentle passage. One where they can not feel any fear or pain and can part ways with you while being surrounded by the people they cherish the most. It’s a profound gift of peace that reflects the depth of your bond and the unwavering love you’ve shared.
If you’re currently finding yourself in this difficult situation you can contact me today and I will get back to you as soon as possible to give you help in making things easier.

I was dreading the day when I had to make the awful decision to let my boy go, at 15yrs 7months of age I knew he'd a good life, but to go ahead with it was still heartbreaking. As well as having mobility issues, his kidneys were failing. I was determined he would pass at home rather than the clinical procedure of the vets. I am so glad I chose The Loving Vet! Bee is a lovely lady that you can see loves animals. The whole procedure was done with dignity and kindness, no rushing and so peaceful for my little Staffie boy. Even though it was one of the hardest things I've had to do, the whole experience was beautiful. Thank you once again BeePosted on Google Deb Steele17 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My boy was 14 and had been going down hill rapidly. We knew his time was running out. We also knew that we didn't want an emergency dash to the vets and a room that was either clinical or staged to look a little less so. I knew from several last traumatic deaths that my vets had stopped home euthanasia. So three emergency PTS, one home natural death and one I didn't think there was another choice later I started googling. I found some options and felt easier that when the time was right I could put a plan into action. That time came quicker than I thought. He was unwell, still eating and enjoying a short walk. Then we saw a small amount of blood in his poo. He went to our daughters for the weekend and passed a lot of blood. Still not off his food but it was time. No interventions, no explorations, he was done. I saw the look I've seen so many times before and made the call. From the first interaction I was treated with love and understanding. The date was booked and he was going to have his best week doing Ollie stuff and being spoilt even more than usual. His day leading up to Bee coming was planned and the sun shone for his last beach romp with his, slightly younger, sidekick. It was a beautiful day. One of those days that makes you wonder if you've jumped the gun, called it too soon. When we got home he laid on the sofa, his fav spot, head in my lap and slept. He was done, my sign that he was ready to go was him not getting up when Bee came in. He greeted her with a tail wag as the others did their thing. Remy didn't leave his side just laid there curled into him through the whole process. A constant warming reassurance from one of his pack. The pup was too much so was sent upstairs and P'nut watched from a distance. Bee talked us through the process and asked at each point if we were happy to proceed. She confirmed that it was a perfect call and he was already shutting down. It was a calm, peaceful and beautiful time. Bee was kind and thoughtful at all times and we were blown away when she brought a beautiful basket in for Ollie to travel to the crematorium in. Nothing was too much ttouble. Nothing was rushed and at no time did we feel awkward with Bee's presence. The communication from start to far beyond has been amazing. Jordan kept us up to date with Bee's arrival time and made sure thing's were as they should be. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this service and when my others time comes I am hoping they will be able to have the loving and caring death that Ollie had.Posted on Google Rachel Burns17 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We unfortunately needed to use Bee’s services last week but I’m so glad we chose Bee for such a heartbreaking moment. She was so kind, reassuring and empathetic. She gave us time to say our goodbyes to our beautiful boy Eric, there was no rush and she did everything at our pace. The little touches are something that will bring us comfort forever. If you ever have to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to your pet Bee is the kindest person you could wish to do it. Thank you for making such an awful day so peaceful. I would 100% recommend Bee without hesitation. 🐶💔🌈Posted on Google Lisa Ruddy15 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. At our darkest hour having to say goodbye to our precious beautiful Vinnie, Bee looked after our boy and us. She was truly amazing and the service from the initial contact to getting our boy back was exceptional. He had the best life possible and we can hold our heads high that he had the best send off in such loving hands. Very recently, I had made the difficult decision to have my Cat, Barbie put to sleep. Something I had never done before. I came across The loving vet online, and contacted them by WhatsApp. I recieved a reply from Jordan, who guided me through everything that I needed to do and expect when Bee, the loving vet, would visit my house to carry out the procedure and take Barbie to the crematorium. I was met with warmth and compassion in every message. The following day Bee arrived. She has a beautiful calm and loving nature. She carried out the procedure, and guided us through the whole process. After our girl had passed, we had some alone time to say our goodbyes. Barbie was then wrapped up in a beautiful little basket, a little candle by her side. She was the taken to the crematorium by Bee, surrounded by paw prints, flowers and fluffy blankets. Every detail so carefully thought out. My children and I can't thank Bee enough for everything she has done, and Jordan, from beginning to end, thankyou so much.Posted on Google Cecilia Fung12 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was an amazing what you have done for us, Mel would appreciate to have had a wonderful peaceful pass away with a bonus of a funeral like leaving home. I just cannot find enough words to thankyou, it would be my regret if I did not choose you to help my baby. Thankyou Bee xPosted on Google Helen12 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot say enough about the sevice that The Loving Vet provides. Jordan helped us through the booking in process explaining everything clearly and then on the day Bee was absolutely amazing. She exudes kindness and was so loving and gentle as she helped our beautiful old greyhound across the rainbow bridge. Bee suggested we had a few treats on hand and our lovely girl ate a bowl of cheese (and yes a few pieces of chocolate) and then literally lay down and went to sleep. It was about as perfect an ending for our old girl as we could have wished for and we will forever be grateful to Bee for making it happen.Posted on Google Paul Martin11 August 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After 17 wonderful years, the time had come for our beautiful, much loved labrador Pepper to leave us. Bee and Jordan were fantastic - kind, thoughtful and so caring - they ensured that Pepper's passing was dignified, loving and surrounded by the family that she had shared her life with. We'll miss her terribly, but Bee made that difficult day so much easier to handle. Would highly recommend The Loving Pet when that hard decision has to be made. Pepper never complained, was loyal, loving and so loved. - Having Bee there to ensure that, in the end, she moved on peacefully, in her own home, with the love and dignity she deserved is something that will always bring us comfort. We can't thank you enough.Load moreShowing our latest reviews
